According to an analysis of Ontario’s road conditions and safety records, Brantford is among the province’s most hazardous urban areas for motorists.
With a 70/30 weighted average of accidents and infractions, MyChoice, an insurance comparison service, ranked the overall safety profile of every city in Ontario. Using information from more than 100,000 statements, including 2,274 accidents and 5,080 tickets, the ranking was determined.
Brantford topped the charts with the highest percentage of traffic fines issued (18.18%) and accidents on record (15.15%), according to this system, which gave the city a score of 0.7 out of 5.
With a score of 4.4 out of 5, Toronto was determined to be the safest city for drivers in Ontario. This was due to the fact that the city had the lowest rates of traffic violations (6.17%) and accidents (6.13%).

The CEO of MyChoice, while discussing these results, stressed the need for more data on driving behavior and traffic safety in Ontario.
